Springboro guard Sean Welsh verbally committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday, ending an intense recruiting process. The 6-foot-3, 275-pounder accumulated nearly 20 offers before deciding on the Hawkeyes.

Rivals.com ranks Welsh as the 40th overall best 2013 prospect in the state of Ohio and the 31st best offensive guard in the nation.

Other offers left on the table included Cincinnati, Louisville, Miami (FL), Kentucky and West Virginia.
