It appears as if Waynesville (4-2, 2-1) is back on track as they pick up their second straight win beating Dixie 42-6. In typical Dixie (4-2, 1-1) fashion they were the first to strike in this affair. The Greyhounds Luke Bowling hooked up with Greg Leonard to get the scoring under way at 6-0 in the first quarter. From there on out it was all Spartans with quarterback, Troy Black leading the charge.
Black would put the Spartans on top with a 61-yard scoring strike to Jeremiah Stillwell and they would never look back. Three more touchdown runs by Black over the next two plus quarters was enough to seal Dixie’s fate. The Spartans have now outscored their opponents 131-6 the past two weeks. Stillwell would also recover a blocked punt for a touchdown.
Waynesville steps out of conference and goes on the road to face Oakwood (1-4, 0-2) next Friday night. Dixie travels to Northridge (1-4, 1-2) in hopes of ending their two game skid.
