CINCINNATI - One-time district foes met on Friday night in Walton-Verona as the Bearcats handed the Brossart Mustangs a 45-0 defeat to pick up their fifth straight win.
After nearly 11 minutes of football without a point being put on the scoreboard Walton-Verona (7-2) finally found the end zone on a 69-yard TD run by Will Latimore with 48 seconds left in the first quarter.
The Bearcats would add three more rushing scores and field goal in a 24-point second quarter to seal the deal. Chris Latimore hit paydirt on a 38-yard run followed by a pair of Logan Foley touchdowns from 10 and 22 yards out.
Foley’s first score came on a pass to Keith Graue and the second on a run. He finished the night by completing 3-of-6 passes for 48 yards. Corey Bennett added a 30-yard field goal to close out the half.
Bennett and Michael Hood would add rushing touchdowns of their own to round out the scoring in the second half.
The Bearcats rushed for an astounding 409 yards as they finished with a 457 to 147 yard advantage in total yards.
Walton-Verona finishes out the regular season with a visit to Estill County while Brossart is set to play host to Scott.
