Tierin Williams ran for a career high 191 yards and four touchdowns as Walnut Hills (2-1) beat Hughes (2-1), 34-6. The junior came into the game with 90 yards rushing in his career and had never scored before exploding for his big night. The offense for the victors put up 328 total yards, 276 of them on the ground. The Eagles have now won 12 of their last 16 contests dating back to October 2010.

Defensively the Eagles were on point holding the Big Red to 96 total yards on the night. Hughes had just 17 yards rushing on 36 carries. D’Avon Adkins and Kevin DeWalt each registered 1.5 sacks and Eric Haas added another in the winning effort.

Walnut Hills begins a three game homestand with Anderson coming to Marx Stadium on Friday night. Hughes will open their CMAC schedule against Aiken.
