CINCINNATI - Cincinnati Country Day (2-6, 0-5) had no answer Antonio Woods. The Summit Country Day (8-0, 5-0) quarterback set the tone with his arm and his wheels as the Silver Knights remained on their quest for a perfect season, beating CCD 41-7.
Woods had career highs with 295 yards passing with five scoring tosses while completing 11-of-12 attempts. The junior racked up another 148 yards rushing to compound matter for the Indians. It was the fourth time in the last five contests he has eclipsed 145 yards or more on the ground.
In the first quarter Woods got the scoring going with a 14-yard run as SCD ran up a 20-0 advantage. Sophomore CJ Scruggs caught two second-quarter touchdown passes as Summit went into the locker room up 34-0 at halftime. Tight end Daniel Bruns also grabbed his eighth touchdown reception of the season.
The Silver Knights defense held their sixth straight opponent to seven points or less. On the season, SCD is allowing just 6.5 points per contest.
Summit Country Day will play Clark Montessori (5-3, 3-2) at Walnut Hills on Friday night. Cincinnati Country Day will try to snap a five game losing streak as they host Lockland (2-6, 0-5).
