CINCINNATI - After losing their first six games of the season, the Princeton Vikings exploded en route to a 48-6 win over the Hamilton Big Blue to pick up their first victory of the year.

Princeton (1-6, 1-3) raced out to 21-0 lead behind three touchdown runs by quarterback Tyrell Gilbert from eight, five, and one yard out and the Vikings never looked back. Gilbert finished the night with a big stat line with 61 yards and 4 TD’s rushing and 100 yards and a touchdown on 6-of-11 passing.

Demarco Thomas picked up 121 yards on just eight carries and Tracy Fomby picked up 117 yards and a TD on six rushing attempts to pace Princeton.

The Vikings outgained Hamilton (2-5, 0-4) with 501 to 167 total yards in the contest. Zach Keene connected with Tyler Denton for an 11-yard TD pass for the Big Blue’s only score. Denton finished the game with 102 yards and a score on six receptions.

Princeton heads to Sycamore in Week 8 while Hamilton hosts Oak Hills as GMC play continues.
