The Northwest Knights got their fourth victory while at home as they defeated the Ross Rams 31-14 for their first Southwestern Ohio conference game of the season.
After a 7-0 lead over Ross (1-3) going into the second quarter, Northwest’s Dominick Williams intercepted a pass and ran 26 yards for a touchdown. This was the first of three touchdowns scored off interceptions, with the remaining two scored in the fourth quarter. Keshun Horton had a 55-yard touchdown return while teammate Dominick Williams, with his second interception of the game took it to the house, going 99-yards for the last score of the night.
Although Ross had possession the majority of the time on offense, racking up a total of 336 yards, their four turnovers gave the Knights (4-0) ample opportunities to score, and that they did.
Next week, Northwest will try to keep their perfect record as they take on Wilmington (3-1) and Ross’ schedule stays tough as they host undefeated Edgewood.
