CINCINNATI - Behind a three-man rushing attack and an outstanding defensive performance, the Milton-Union Bulldogs (10-2) cruised to a 51-8 victory over the Norwood Indians (10-2).

Miltion-Union started the scoring with a 25-yard field from kicker Nick Fields.

Later in the first quarter, David Karns would score the first of seven Bulldog touchdowns when he broke free for a 45-yard run, making it 10-0.

Tyler Brown would add to the lead with a one-yard run, giving Milton-Union a 17-0 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

Bulldog quarterback Kenton Dickison threw two touchdown passes of 14 and 18 yards in the second quarter. Milton-Union held a commanding 31-0 halftime lead.

Norwood would finally dent the scoreboard in the third quarter when quarterback Andrew Conover found Gabe Rice for a 64-yard touchdown, cutting the lead to 31-8 (2-point conversion).

After not scoring in the third quarter, the Bulldogs would score 20 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to wrap up a 51-8 blowout victory in the second round of the Region 16 playoffs.

Milton-Union finished with 446 yards of offense, 402 of those coming on the ground. Tyler Brown led all rushers with 124 yards and two touchdowns. David Karns had 123 yards rushing and one touchdown while Joseph Thoele added 109 yards and two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving).

The Indians tallied 187 yards of offense. Gabe Rice finished with 66 yards rushing to go a long with a 64-yard touchdown reception.

Next week Milton-Union will face Clinton-Massie in the Region 16 finals.
