CINCINNATI - The East Central Trojans wrapped up the EIAC title on Friday night by knocking off the Greensburg Pirates Friday night at Shriver Field, 16-0.

East Central (7-1, 5-0) limited the Pirates to just 24 yards of total offense while picking up 225 yards on the ground alone themselves. The game only saw four yards total of passing.

Tyler Douthit got the Trojans on the scoreboard with 9-yard with four minutes left in the half, but the kick failed leaving the score 6-0 after a half of play.

Neither team did much offensively most of the third quarter until Payton Stonefield busted out for a 41-yard touchdown run in the frame’s final minute. East Central would add a fourth quarter safety to round out the scoring.

Douthit led all rushers 121 yards and a TD on 17 carries. Stonefield finished with 89 yards and a score on 16 carries.

East Central concludes its regular season as they welcome Roncalli while Greensburg finished up with a trip to North Decatur.
