CINCINNATI - The Clinton-Massie Falcons kept their perfect record in tact on Friday night by dismantling the Milton-Union Bulldogs 35-7, and in the process captured their second straight region 16 championship.

Clinton-Massie (13-0) found the end zone on their first possession when running back Bayle Wolf scored on a 1-yard run.

Milton-Union’s (10-3) defense held the Falcons to a three-and-out on their next possession. Punting from their own goal line, Clinton-Massie punter Travis Daughtery would turn a fumbled snap in to an 89-yard rushing touchdown that gave the Falcons a 14-0 first quarter lead.

Bayle Wolf found the endz one for a second time when he broke free on a 58-yard run, extending the Clinton-Massie lead to 21-0.

Falcons’ quarterback Tyler Uetrecht wrapped up a dominant first half performance by Clinton-Massie when he found Trent Smart for a 20-yard touchdown, making it 28-0 at halftime.

The Bulldogs would finally score some points in the third quarter when Kenton Dickison hooked up with David Karns for an 11-yard touchdown pass, cutting the lead to 28-7.

Milton-Union’s defense played considerably better in the second half, however it wouldn’t be enough to over come the 28-0 halftime deficit. Bayle Wolf made it a hat trick in the fourth quarter scoring from 56 yards out and wrapping up the Falcons’ 35-7 victory.

The Bulldogs finished with 150 yards of total offense. Quarterback Kenton Dickison led the offense with 92 yards passing and a touchdown.

Clinton-Massie tallied 422 yards of offense. Bayle Wolf finished with 182 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Next week the Falcons will face top-ranked Columbus Bishop Hartley in the state semifinals.
