CINCINNATI - The Beechwood Tigers picked up their fourth straight win as they opened up district play with a 49-20 victory on Senior Night at Edgar McNabb Field.
Beechwood (4-3, 1-0) got a pair of first-quarter touchdowns by junior Mitch Thomas and never looked back as they raced out a 31-6 halftime lead. Thomas finished the night with 106 yards on just nine carries. Senior Max Nussbaum tallied 208 yards and another touchdown on 16 carries in the win.
Bellevue (3-4, 0-1) got 175 yards and a pair of scores in the loss from junior Dylan Huff.
District action continues for both teams next week as Beechwood heads to Dayton and Bellevue plays host to Ludlow.

A three-run first-inning home run by senior Kaitlyn Bergman helped the Lebanon softball team to a 6-1 road victory over Northmont on Thursday.
