Quarterback, KeShawn Foster ran for two touchdowns and threw another as Batavia (5-0, 0-1) remained unbeaten in a very workman-like dismantling on Clermont Northeastern.
Foster was efficient and productive finishing the night with 106 yards on eight carries and 67 more on 3-4 passing. Gabe Archer caught the touchdown pass from his sophomore signal-caller. Sean Hill added two more scores on the ground for the victors.
The story wasn’t all about the offense as the Bulldogs held their fifth opponent to 14 points or fewer. Batavia has given up just 39 total points on the year. The linebacking crew of Archer, Mike Posey and Ryan Gormley has been the strength of the squad on this side of the ball.
Batavia will travel to Williamsburg (1-4, 0-1) as they continue their quest for the schools third post-season appearance and first since 2003. Clermont Northeastern will entertain Bethel-Tate (1-4, 0-1) on homecoming Friday night.
