Dixie Heights outscored Beechwood, 18-7, in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 49-36 win Saturday night at Beechwood.
Sophomore forward Molly Diamon matched the Tigers output with seven points in the fourth quarter, making five free throws. Diamon hit nine foul shots for the game, finishing with 17 points.
The Colonels made 15 of 30 free throws in the game, while Beechwood was four for six from the line.
Sophomore guard Emily Pawsat led Beechwood with 10 points, including her 1,000 career point on a steal and layup in the first quarter.
The Tigers made six of 13 shots in the floor in taking a 17-12 lead after one quarter, but were just eight for 44 the rest of the way, finishing the game shooting 25.4 percent (14 for 55).
Beechwood will play Covington Latin in its first district tournament game at Holy Cross on Tuesday.
Dixie will play Villa Madonna on Tuesday in its district tournament at Lloyd.

COVINGTON LATIN 56, BELLEVUE 44 – Junior guard Anna Matchinga scored 10 of her 21 points in the third quarter, helping Latin overcome a halftime deficit.
Bellevue led, 23-17, at halftime, but the Trojans outscored the Tigers 20-8 in the third quarter to move ahead.
Junior guard Bridgette Hildreth added six of her 14 points in the fourth quarter to ensure Latin held on to the lead.
Bellevue was led by Jennifer Sexton, who had 16 points and six rebounds. Kira Ross added seven points and five assists and Makayla Bishop had nine points and seven steals.
Bellevue will play the Highlands-Dayton winner in the 36th District tournament at Dayton on Wednesday.
Covington Latin plays Beechwood in the 35th District tournament Tuesday at Holy Cross.

CALVARY CHRISTIAN 47, NEWPORT 34 – Junior guard McKenzie Rusch scored nine points in the second quarter to put Calvary Christian in control.
Rusch finished with 11 points, all but two of those coming when the Cougars outscored the Wildcats, 20-6, in the second quarter.
Sophomore guard Hayley Emmerich led Calvary with 14 points, making five of eight free throws.
Junior center Zania Caudill added 13 rebounds while sophomore guard Sarah Roaden had three assists.
The Cougars will place Campbell County in the district tournament Tuesday night at Campbell County Middle School.
Newport will play Newport Central Catholic in its district tournament Tuesday at Dayton.
