CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Cyclones hope to recapture their winning ways from the 2010 and 2008 seasons when they were the ECHL champions and won the Kelly Cup.
The team returns to the ice on Friday night against the Reading Royals. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. and there are several promotional specials for fans. The first 2,000 fans get a free t-shirt and everyone can enjoy $1 hotdogs all night.
The Cyclones return to U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday, the night before Thanksgiving. That night is often referred to as the biggest bar night because so few have to work on Thanksgiving.
The Cyclones are keeping that in mind by offering $1 beer for fans attending the game against Kalamazoo.
9 News reporter Valerie Miller had the chance to skate on the ice with players Mike Liambus and Mathieu Aubin. She talked with them about the team's hopes for the season and their involvement in the community.
