Reports: Bengals’ Mohamed Sanu could be out for rest of the season

CINCINNATI - Several media reports say that Bengals' wide receiver Mohomad Sanu may be out for the season following an injury during practice on Thursday.

According to a report by Geoff Hobson on the team's official website Bengals.com , Sanu suffered a stress fracture in his left foot that requires immediate surgery and will most likely put him out for the rest of the season.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis announced Sanu's injury on Friday, but has not confirmed whether his recovery will prevent the rookie from playing this season.

The 23-year-old Rutgers grad has nine receptions for 103 yards and 4 touchdowns so far this season, according to ESPN .

No other details have been released at this time.
