CINCINNATI - The Bengals have signed a former college teammate of quarterback Andy Dalton.
Running back Aaron Brown signed with the organization on Friday.
The third-year player out of Texas Christian University was a sixth-round pick by the Detroit Lions in 2009. He played in 22 games with two starts since 2009 with 44 rushes for 189 yards and 18 receptions for 129 yards with one receiving touchdown.
Brown also averaged 22.3 yards on 15 kickoff returns.
Brown was waived by Detroit in the final preseason cuts and re-signed with the Lions for games 12-15. He played in one game and was released on Dec. 28.
In his four seasons at TCU, Brown rushed for 2,596 yards with 20 touchdowns and had 857 receiving yards with five touchdowns.
