CINCINNATI - Long lines bombarded the Pro Shop at Paul Brown Stadium Tuesday afternoon for the opportunity to meet a couple of Bengals players.
The Bengals are making many local fans proud with their 6-2 start and to return that gratitude, quarterbacks Andy Dalton and Bruce Gradkowski spent a few hours signing autographs for fans.
Christine Willis considers herself a die-hard Bengals fan. She and her husband came out at 5 a.m. Tuesday to get autographs. The couple even has a 'Bengals car'. The car has more than 30 signatures of Bengals players and it's packed with a whole lot of spirit.
"Me and my husband are big Bengals fans and we have a Bengals SUV with 33 autographs, so we come to training camp every year, and we also have season tickets and we also come up for all the signings," said Willis. "I think a lot people were dissing them and basically running them off, and I think we have a lot of young, hungry guys this year that wanna go out there and wanna win."
9 News caught up with many other Bengals fans excited about this year's team. David Buck says he's been a fan since the beginning and believes the team is a playoff favorite, but has to get pass the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium.
"This game against Pittsburgh, if they can beat them here and if they can beat the Ravens in Baltimore I think they've got a shot at least for the playoffs, lets get through the playoffs first," explained Buck.
"We're 6 and 2 and we're doing awesome this year and I think it's just going to get better and better and we have a great quarterback and a great group of young guys who are hungry and they do want the win," said Willis.
The Bengals host their division rival Sunday at 1 p.m.
