Xavier University basketball releases 2012-13 schedule

CINCINNATI - Xavier University has released its 2012-13 men's basketball schedule, and they won't be able to catch their breath in non-conference play.

Xavier's key matchups before A-10 play are, well, mostly everyone. The only non-perennial NCAA Tournament teams the Muskies have on their non-conference schedule are the Farleigh Dickinson Knights, the Kent State Golden Flashes and the Robert Morris Colonials.

With three graduating seniors and one transfer from 2011-12, Xavier will have a new team this year, with the only remaining proven play maker from last year being guard Dez Wells.

The schedule is as follows:

Non-conference break during conference play: Tuesday, February 26 Memphis

The A-10 Conference regular season schedule dates and times have not been announced, but the opponents home and away will be as follows:

Atlantic 10 Conference regular season home games on dates TBD: VCU, Temple, Saint Louis, Dayton, Fordham, George Washington, La Salle and Massachusetts.

Atlantic 10 Conference regular season road games on dates TBD: Butler, Charlotte, Dayton, Duquesne, Rhode Island, Richmond, Saint Bonaventure and Saint Joseph's.
