LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- University of Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops is promising that all spring football practices will have an edge to them and says he likes physical practices.
Stoops told the Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/15npdaf ) players will probably see the first team offense and first team defense face off in-season more than happens elsewhere.
The goal, Stoops says, is to set a faster tempo in practice so the team will get more out of the workouts.
Stoops, who was hired from Florida State after last season, says "I just feel like the fastball tempo will help you develop your players at a faster rate."
