CINCINNATI - In honor of Barry Larkin's induction into the Hall of Fame, the Cincinnati Reds plan to host an 11-day celebration in the city.

As part of the festivities, the Reds will retire Larkin's uniform number, 11, in a special pre-game ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 25, before the team takes on the Cardinals at Great American Ball Park.

Larkin's number will be the 10th uniform number to be retired by the Reds. He will join the ranks of Fred Hutchinson (#1), Johnny Bench (#5), Joe Morgan (#8), Sparky Anderson (#10), Dave Concepcion (#13), Ted Kluszewski (#18), Tony Perez (#24) and Jackie Robinson (#42).

“My family and I are very excited about the special celebration in Cincinnati. Since January, the entire Hall of Fame experience has been a dream for us, and the upcoming weekend will be a fitting end to an incredible summer," said Larkin in a press release.
