CINCINNATI - Thursday marks the first of many steps to launch the 2012 major league baseball season.
Reds equipment managers will be loading up the team's truck to head out west for spring training around 10 a.m. Thursday.
The truck leaves Friday with all of the team's equipment on board. Pitchers and catchers will be the first on the team to report to Goodyear, Arizona on Feb. 19.
