Reds gear headed to Goodyear for Spring Training

CINCINNATI - With the Super Bowl past us, it's time to look forward to the next sport to captivate the Queen City: Baseball.

The semi carrying the Reds' Spring Training gear left Cincinnati Monday morning around 10:30 a.m. and headed toward its destination in Goodyear, Arizona.

But that's just the first step in getting the team down to Arizona for this year's Spring Training.

Sixth-year manager Dusty Baker’s coaching staff is scheduled to report to the Reds’ Player Development Complex in Goodyear, Arizona on Monday, Feb. 11.

Pitchers and catchers report on Tuesday, Feb. 12. They will take physical examinations when they arrive and work out later in the afternoon.

Position players will report Friday, Feb. 15, and following physicals will work out that afternoon

Reds Photo Day is Saturday, Feb. 16 at 7 a.m

Minor league pitchers and catchers report Thursday, Feb. 28 and position players on Wednesday, March 6.
