CINCINNATI - Hall of Fame broadcaster Marty Brennaman said on Tuesday that he will shave his head live on the field after the Reds game this Friday, but only if fans donate $20,000 or more to the Reds Community Fund.

If donations do not reach $20,000, Brennaman will still shave his head in private with his personal barber, and reveal his new look for fans to see at Friday night's game.

Earlier this season, Brennaman said if the Reds won 10 straight games this year he would save his head bald.  On Sunday, the Reds defeated the Colorado Rockies 7 to 2, marking their 10th win in a row.

After his trademark "And this one belongs to the Reds," Brennaman pledged Sunday: "I'm going to shave my head absolutely bald."

"if the fans can raise $20,000 or more for the Reds Community Fund, I will agree to have it done on the field after the game and before the fireworks," Brennaman said in a press release.  "I'm taking this opportunity to make good on my promise to shave my head while encouraging fans to make a donation to a charity that is very close to my heart."

Fans who wish to donate should go to reds.com/community and click on "Support the Reds Community Fund."  You can also call the Reds Community Fund office at (513)765-7234.  Fans can make additional cash donations at the ballpark in the giant Reds Piggy Bank located on the Terrace Level behind home plate.

The Reds take on the Pittsburgh Pirates this Friday at 7:10 p.m. at Great American Ball Park.  Friday's game is being billed as a "Marty Party" to celebrate his 70th birthday from July 28. Following the game, he will be presented with a cake and the crowd will be invited to sing "Happy Birthday" to the Hall of Famer.
