CINCINNATI - One of the Big Red Machine's most beloved players, Joe Morgan, is being honored with an exhibit starting Tuesday at the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame & Museum.

Starting at 10 a.m. the Joe Morgan exhibit that examines the highlights of Morgan's career opened to the public. Morgan himself will be on hand Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. for a ribbon cutting ceremony and a VIP preview of the exhibit.

The exhibit is part of a season-long retrospective of Morgan's career that will culminate with the dedication of the Joe Morgan statue on Saturday, Sept.  before the 1:05 p.m. Reds versus L.A. Dodgers game in front of Great American Ball Park.

Morgan was part of five division championships, three national pennants and two World Series championships with the Reds. In addition, Morgan was named the NL MVP in both the 1975 and 1976 World Series seasons.

Morgan was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in 1987 and his uniform number, 8, was retired in 1998. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990.
