SPARTA, Ky - Kentucky Speedway will hold two Nationwide Series events in 2012, along with its second-ever Sprint Cup race.
The speedway announced its 2012 schedule Friday.
It will hold Sprint Cup, Nationwide and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races on June 28-30. A second Nationwide race will be paired with a truck event on Sept. 21-22.
But Kentucky Speedway general manager Mark Simendinger says the track could not come to terms on bringing an IndyCar Series event to Kentucky for next year.
The track expects to have 140 acres of additional free parking it hopes will alleviate the massive traffic jam that had fans stuck for hours in their cars during the Sprint Cup race in July.
