CINCINNATI - The end of the year brings with it a chance to look back at the events, issues and ideas that captured your interest over the previous 12 months.

With that in mind, we put together this list of the most viewed stories on WCPO.com between December 2011 and December 2012.

Of course the very top story most years is the weather forecast, so we’ve removed that one from our list. 

1. Popular senior denied diploma because of too much cheering (June 4). This story by Scott Wegener about a Mt. Healthy high school senior takes the crown for the post with the most page views.

2. President Obama lands in the Tri-State (July 16). You turned to WCPO.com when the president made a campaign stop for a a town hall event at Music Hall in Cincinnati.

3. Anonymous donors pay off Kmart layaway accounts (Dec. 15, 2011). This story about the kindness of strangers came out of Omaha, Neb., but touched people close to home.

4. Ohio woman unknowingly married her dad (Sept. 9). The Akron journalist who brought us this tale called it “the "most bizarre story he has worked on in 28 years."

5. Who will win election 2012? State-by-State look at key races (Nov. 5). Our website visitors were curious to see predictions of how the states would vote in the presidential election.

6. Cincinnati's mile high club: Local air company offers flyers chance at in-flight sex (Feb. 11). No surprise here: sex sells and news about the steamy captures your attention.

7. Woman sent home from hospital like that? (May 23). This I-Team report from Hagit Limor caused a stir, examining what Medicaid will and won’t pay for.

8. Hundreds of thousands may lose Internet in July (April 20). It was a tale of cyber-intrigue got the attention of website visitors: an online advertising scam to take control of infected computers around the world.

9. How to check your computer for Doomsday virus (July 6). Our John Matarese provided instructions for protecting your computer from the online scam mentioned above.
