CINCINNATI - Our recent heat wave no doubt had you reaching into the fridge more often than normal.

And it's likely that your dog is equally as thirsty this summer. That's where beer for dogs comes in...seriously.

For Try It Out Tuesday we're putting Bowser Beer to the test. It's a nonalcoholic beer, brewed specifically for man's best friend. Since Bowser Beer isn't made for humans to enjoy, 9 News anchor Lance Barry's asked his Labrador retriever Reagan to serve at the taste-tester.

The brews for dogs comes in a dark beer and light beer variety. Surprisingly, unlike her owner Lance, Reagan prefers lighter beer.

The makers of Bowser Beer say their product is more than just a novelty, it also helps with joint health. Bowser Beer is available online for about $20 for a six-pack.

As always, Try It Out Tuesday is an unscientific test with unscientific results.
