WESTLAKE, Ohio (AP) -- An Ohio teen says a man approached her in a shopping center garage and demanded that she give him her pantyhose.

Police in the Cleveland suburb of Westlake tell multiple news outlets that the man in his 20s told the girl that he needed the hosiery to fix the exhaust system on his car. The 16-year-old took off and handed over her pantyhose Friday night at the Crocker Park shopping center, and police say the man then ran away.

Mall security officers and police searched the area but could not find him. The episode was not captured by Crocker Park surveillance video.
