ST. PARIS, Ohio - One of the people shot at a movie theater in Colorado was from a city north of Dayton.

The Springfield News Sun reports Samantha Yowler, of St. Paris, Ohio, was shot in the leg.

Yowler is the daughter of St. Paris fire chief Scott Massie. She moved from St. Paris, a village of about 2,000 about 30 miles north of Dayton in Champaign County, to Denver eight months ago, according to the Springfield News Sun.

She was in the theater with her brother Nick, who was not hurt, and her boyfriend Matt McQuinn. Yowler's family does not know where McQuinn is, or if he was hurt.

Yowler is expected to survive.

At least 12 people were killed in the shooting and more than 50 were injured when a gunman opened fire during the early Friday morning screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado.
