SANDUSKY, Ohio - Ohio tourism officials are embarrassed after a social media mistake linked the town of Sandusky, Ohio, with the Penn State sex abuse trial.

Tourism staff used Twitter to promote a Father's Day getaway in the Lake Erie town, using the hashtag "Sandusky," or "#Sandusky."

But, when readers clicked on the hashtag for more information they got explicit details of the Jerry Sandusky child rape trial.

Tourism officials say it was an innocent mistake.

They say they won't use the Sandusky hashtag again until after the trial ends.
