AKRON, Ohio (AP) - An Ohio teen who will be tried as an adult in a deadly Craigslist robbery scheme has been moved to an adult jail that's able to house a juvenile.
Sixteen-year-old Brogan Rafferty had been held at a juvenile detention center. He's accused of killing one man and attempting to kill another who answered a Craigslist ad for a bogus job in southeast Ohio's Noble County. A second, 52-year-old suspect is jailed on unrelated charges.
Rafferty has been transferred to the Summit County Jail in Akron. Its administrator tells the Akron Beacon Journal that the jail can meet requirements that the teen be kept completely separate from adult inmates, unlike the Noble County Jail.
The newspaper reports the Noble County sheriff turned Rafferty over to Summit County authorities on Friday.
