PATASKALA, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say a student has been arrested after writing a hit-list of 10 names on a bathroom wall at a central Ohio high school.
Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp tells The Columbus Dispatch the female student at Watkins Memorial High School in Pataskala was arrested Tuesday, a day after the list was found. He says she was and charged with one count of inducing panic.
He says the girl, who out her own name on the list, confessed, saying she used her name to deflect suspicion.
The school has about 1,275 students.
The arrest comes just over a week after authorities say a teen in northeast Ohio went on a school shooting rampage that left three students dead.
