COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio's unemployment rate held steady in July at 7.2 percent.
Numbers released today show non-farm payrolls grew during the month by 11,000 and the number of unemployed workers dropped by 2,000.
The rate is down sharply from 8.9 percent a year ago.
Meanwhile, 44 other states saw their unemployment rates grow, the most states to show a monthly increase in more than three years and a reflection of weak hiring nationwide.
