COLUMBUS, Ohio - Two 13-year-old boys from Columbus are safe after they drove nearly 670 miles and ended up in Missouri. They were reported missing last week.
Authorities found them sleeping in the BMW of one of the boy's mothers.
Police say the two were trying to reach California when they ran out of gas.
Investigators still don't know why the pair took off or why they were going to California.
One of the teenager's mother's flew to Missouri on Monday and says she will be driving back to Ohio with both boys.
According to investigators this matter will be turned over to family court.
