Lottery officials say a northeast Ohio man became a millionaire just in time for Thanksgiving after winning a special drawing.

John Cramer of Salem won an Ohio Lottery Top Prize Drawing for $2 million.

The lottery worked with his grown daughter to surprise Cramer with the news. When they went out to lunch Wednesday, they were greeted by lottery staff carrying balloons and an oversized check.

Cramer was stunned and told The Vindicator in Youngstown he'd use some of the money to vacation in Florida and to help his children.

He previously won $5,500 on a $20 Lucky Millionaire instant ticket. He was entered into the Top Prize Drawing last year because his winning ticket had a special symbol.

He bought the ticket at a Salem grocery store.
