Flags flown at half-staff as Ohioans mark Sept. 11

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Flags will be flown at half-staff at Ohio's public buildings and grounds to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Gov. John Kasich has ordered that the flags be flown at half-staff on Tuesday from sunrise to sunset. He also asked that Ohioans observe a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., marking when the north tower at the World Trade Center site in New York was struck by a plane.
In Columbus, Mayor Michael Coleman planned to host a lunchtime remembrance ceremony with veterans at City Hall to honor those who died in the attacks and the emergency responders.
