CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office confirms the body found Monday at a waste processing site was 3-year-old Emilliano Terry.
Officials positively identified the toddler's body through DNA testing conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Regional Forensic Science Laboratory.
The cause and manner of death remains an ongoing investigation.
On Sunday, the boy's mother reported him missing from Kossuth Park. The next day, police found a young boy's body inside a duffel bag at the Waste Management trash site in Oakwood Village.
In court Thursday morning, prosecutors said Emilliano suffered from blunt force trauma to his head, skull and rib fractures and a lacerated liver.
His mother, 20-year-old Camilia Terry, has been charged with aggravated murder. Her bond was set at $2 million cash.
