CHARDON, Ohio - A Chardon High School student has been suspended and put in detention center after making a threat that comes in the wake of February's deadly shooting at the school.
Chardon Police Chief Tim McKenna said the 15-year-old boy threatened a shooting at the bus stop, describing it as “talk amongst boys.”
He said the boy has a previous juvenile court record.
Further disciplinary action against the student by the school is pending.
He is currently in Portage County Detention Center.
Three teens were killed and two wounded in the February shooting at Chardon High School. A 17-year-old, TJ Lane, has been charged in connection with the shooting.
