COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio gasoline prices have slid more than 15 cents from last week but remain high for this time of year.
Analysts note that fuel costs remain under pressure from tension in the Persian Gulf.
A survey Monday from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express put Ohio's average price for regular-grade gas at about $3.31 a gallon, compared to $3.47 a week ago. On year ago, regular was averaging $3.09 statewide.
Iran has threatened to close the entrance to the Persian Gulf if the U.S. and other countries impose more sanctions on its nuclear program.
PFGBest analsyt Phil Flynn says gas prices will go up or down by as much as 50 cents a gallon depending on what happens with Iran.
