BEACHWOOD, Ohio - A man was arrested after police said he attacked a worker at a suburban Cleveland restaurant over the quality of his sandwich.
The alleged incident happened Saturday at about 9 p.m. at the Charley’s Subs in the Beachwood Place Mall.
Beachwood police said 19-year-old York Burks went into the shop to complain about his sandwich. The worker asked for a receipt, saying he would give a refund if a receipt were presented -- but Burks said he didn’t have one.
Police said Burks then jumped over the counter and punched the employee in the face. The worker went to the hospital. There’s no word on his injuries.
Burks was charged with simple assault and trespassing. His arraignment is set for Dec. 4.
