2 OSU students still hospitalized after crashes

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Two of the three Ohio State University students involved in accidents that led to a new emphasis on safety on campus are still hospitalized -- and one remains in critical condition.
The pedestrian and bike crashes early in the fall semester left all three students seriously injured. It also led to a safety campaign by the university and enforcement crackdown by police.
The Columbus Dispatch reports that an 18-year-old student hit by a car Aug. 19 is recovering at home.
An 18-year-old student whose bicycle was hit by a dump truck is still in the hospital after losing a leg and suffering severe damage to his pelvis and spine.
And a 21-year-old woman who suffered head injuries when she stepped in front of a cyclist remains in critical condition.
