CINCINNATI - A Westwood man appeared in a Hamilton County courtroom Friday morning for accusations he tortured and killed a pet cat.
Police arrested 22-year-old Gerale Witchers at about 6 p.m. Thursday and charged him with animal cruelty after he allegedly killed a woman’s cat at a home on Hillside Avenue in Westwood.
Police have not released details about what led Witchers to target the cat.
Officers also tacked on additional charges for Witchers for not complying with officers’ orders during his arrest.
Witchers is due back in court on Nov. 15.
