CINCINNATI - It's not every day someone gets the Mayor of Cincinnati to come out to their birthday party. For Thelma McCray, having Mayor Mark Mallory show up, made it a big event.

McCray celebrated her 100th birthday Thursday afternoon at the Scarlett Oaks Retirement Community. The mayor was on hand to proclaim the day Thelma McCray Day.

McCray has lived in Cincinnati her whole life and grew up in Westwood. Her first job was working down at Findlay Market.

McCray also holds the honor of being Ohio's oldest living World War I widow.
