CINCINNATI - A man was shot twice when walking to his car early Tuesday morning in Westwood.
The 41-year-old man told police at the scene that he was walking outside the Candlewood Apartments in the 2400 Block of Harrison Avenue when a suspect approached him shooting him once on both his legs. The suspect then stole personal items including a gold chain.
The victim says he walked about 230 feet to Greystone Nursing Home where he pulled the fire alarm in hopes of getting the attention of someone as the suspect ran to chase him. Officers at the scene tell 9 News he saw a police car at a nearby gas station, and went over to report the shooting.
Police have not released the victim's name or a description of the suspect.
