Mom angry with 6-year-old son allegedly punches him in eye

CINCINNATI - A local mother is charged with domestic violence after allegedly letting her anger get the best of her and assaulting her son Tuesday.
Police say 25-year-old Kenya Smith punched her 6-year-old son in the eye around 8 a.m. at the family's home on Wells Avenue in East Price Hill.
Officials said the assault caused swelling, discoloring and pain for the boy.
A motive for the woman's alleged assault has not been determined.
Smith is scheduled to appear in court for her arraignment Wednesday morning.
