CINCINNATI - A total of four people have been displaced as a result of an early morning blaze Friday in West Price Hill.
Cincinnati fire officials said two adults and two children managed to evacuate from the 16-unit apartment building shortly after the fire was reported at approximately 1:45 a.m. at 1868 Sunset Ave. No one was injured.
When crews first arrived, heavy fire and black smoke was billowing out of a first-floor apartment. Crews entered the apartment and extinguished the blaze before it spread to the rest of the building.
Initial investigation concludes the cause of the fire was grease from the stove, which spread into the living room area. Damage is estimated to be $15,000.
The Red Cross was notified to care for the displaced residents as fire crews remained on the scene for approximately two hours extinguishing any hot spots.
