A Price Hill man was arrested after his dogs attacked a child Thursday night, and then he allegedly encouraged the pit bulls to run off so they couldn't be seized.

Twenty-year-old Joseph Goebel is facing one count related to the confinement of vicious dogs and another count of obstructing official business.

Police were called to his apartment on Glenway Avenue around 5:30 p.m.  There they discovered that Goebel did not adequately restrain the two pit bulls before they got loose and attacked the child.

According to Cincinnati Police, the child suffered serious injuries as a result of the attack.

In addition, Police said Goebel turned the dogs loose in the neighborhood so the SPCA could not take them.

The child was taken to Children's Hospital.  His name, age, and current condition aren't known.
