Mount Airy gas station robbery suspect at large after brandishing gun

CINCINNATI - Police are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery at a local gas station early Friday morning.

Cincinnati police were called at approximately 4:40 a.m. to an armed robbery in the 2000 block of West North Bend Road at the Thorton’s Gas Station in Mount Airy after a suspect brandished a gun and demanded cash from the clerk.

The suspect fled the scene on foot and it is not immediately known if anyone was injured in the incident. A description of the suspect was not released.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040. Text tips to CRIMES (2-7-4-6-3-7) with "CINTip:" at the beginning of the message. You don't have to give your name and you may be eligible for a reward if your tips lead to an arrest.
