CINCINNATI - A Mt. Airy man faces a rare count of ethnic intimidation after being arrested at his apartment complex on Tuesday.

Cincinnati police say James Jones, 52, came into the hallway of the building and told others to turn down their music. In the process, it is alleged that Jones used the "N-word".

Cops also say he tried to scare his neighbors with a gun that proved to be a Daisy BB gun, but was realistic looking.

In addition to the felony charge of ethnic intimidation, he was also charged with misdemeanor aggravated menacing.

As of Wednesday morning, Jones was still jailed at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
