GREEN TWP, Ohio - A man is in police custody after officers had to use a Taser on him in Green Township Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to North Bend Road and Edger Drive for reports of a suspicious subject walking onto porches in the neighborhoods around 4:30 a.m. When officials located the suspect -- who has been identified as 33-year-old Jeremy Lewis -- in the 2900 block of North Bend Road, he would not take his hands out of the pockets of his sweatshirt.
When police tried to grab Lewis, he attempted to flee. An officer then deployed his Taser to stop Lewis and placed him under arrest.
After officials handcuffed Lewis, a search revealed he had a 9 MM handgun in his sweatshirt.
Lewis is charged with carrying concealed weapons, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
Police have not released any additional details about the arrest at this time.
